Questions & Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our mission, programs, and how you can get involved in supporting children in need.

How can I donate to support the children?

We accept donations through various methods including bank transfers, mobile money (MTN MoMo, Orange Money), and in-kind donations. You can also sponsor a specific child's education, healthcare, or daily needs. All donations go directly to supporting the children's welfare, education, and basic necessities.

What age groups do you care for?

We provide care and support for children from infancy up to 18 years old. Our programs are designed to meet the unique needs of different age groups, from early childhood development and primary education to vocational training and life skills preparation for older children transitioning to independence.

Can I visit the orphanage?

Yes, we welcome visitors who are genuinely interested in supporting our mission. However, visits must be scheduled in advance to ensure the safety and routine of our children. Please contact us at least 48 hours before your intended visit. We also organize special visiting days and community events throughout the year.

How do you ensure the children's safety and well-being?

Child safety is our top priority. We maintain strict background checks for all staff and volunteers, implement comprehensive child protection policies, provide regular health check-ups, ensure proper nutrition, and maintain safe living conditions. Our staff includes trained social workers, healthcare professionals, and educators.

What educational programs do you offer?

We provide comprehensive educational support including primary and secondary education, homework assistance, computer literacy programs, vocational training, and life skills development. We also offer scholarships for higher education and partner with local schools to ensure quality education for all our children.

How can I volunteer or get involved?

We welcome volunteers who can contribute their time and skills. Opportunities include tutoring, mentoring, healthcare support, recreational activities, and administrative tasks. All volunteers must complete our orientation program and background screening. Contact us through our volunteer application form to learn about current opportunities.

What happens to children when they turn 18?

Our transition program helps young adults prepare for independent living. We provide continued support through vocational training, job placement assistance, higher education scholarships, and gradual independence preparation. We maintain relationships with our alumni and offer ongoing mentorship and emergency support when needed.

How transparent are you with donations and funding?

We maintain complete transparency in our financial operations. Donors receive regular updates on how their contributions are used, and we publish annual reports detailing our expenditures, programs, and impact. We are committed to ensuring that the maximum amount of donations directly benefits the children in our care.

Do you help with adoption processes?

While our primary focus is providing care and support, we do work with legal authorities and social services regarding adoption when it's in the best interest of the child. All adoption processes must follow Cameroonian legal requirements and international guidelines. We prioritize the child's welfare and ensure thorough screening of potential adoptive families.

How can businesses or organizations partner with you?

We welcome partnerships with businesses, NGOs, and community organizations. Partnership opportunities include corporate sponsorships, employee volunteer programs, skills-based volunteering, in-kind donations, and collaborative community projects. Contact us to discuss how we can work together to make a meaningful impact on children's lives.
